These terms govern your use of MoveSure (movesure.co.za). By requesting a quote or booking a move, you agree to them.
1. What MoveSure is
MoveSure is an intermediary platform. We connect customers with independent, vetted removal carriers and manage the booking, pricing and payment process. The physical carriage of goods is performed by the carrier, who is an independent contractor — not an employee or agent of MoveSure.
2. Quotes and pricing
Quotes are based on the information you provide (volume, access, dates, special items). Your confirmed price is fixed and includes VAT and fuel, with any exclusions listed in writing. Quotes are valid for 7 days. If the actual goods or access differ materially from what was declared, a revised price may apply — agreed with you before work proceeds.
3. Payment
A deposit confirms your booking; the balance is payable before or on move day as stated on your booking confirmation. Payments are made to MoveSure, and the carrier is paid by MoveSure after completion of your move.
4. Cancellations
Free cancellation more than 7 days before your move. 50% of the deposit is retained for cancellations 3–7 days before. The full deposit is retained for cancellations within 72 hours of the move.
5. Insurance and claims
Goods in transit are covered by the carrier’s goods-in-transit insurance, verified by MoveSure, up to the limit stated on your quote. All-risk cover is available on request. Damage or loss must be reported within 48 hours of delivery with photographs. We acknowledge claims within 48 hours and manage the process with the carrier and insurer on your behalf.
6. Liability
MoveSure’s role is facilitation, vetting and payment protection. Liability for goods in carriage rests with the carrier and their insurer. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act.
7. Privacy
Your details are used only to quote and manage your move, in line with POPIA. We never sell your information. See our Privacy Policy.
